Harmful Drugs
Many Americans have been exposed to toxic substances. I have represented many victims of toxic exposures from asbestos to lead to defective drugs such as Fen-Phen and Phenypropanolamine (PPA).

Accolate
Asthma medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include eosinophilia, vasculitic rash, worsening pulmonary symptoms, cardiac complications, and/or neuropathy sometimes presenting as Churg Strauss Syndrome.

Acne medication. Intended to treat the most severe form of acne that has been unresponsive to any other type of acne treatment. Serious risk of side effects include depression, suicide, birth defects, miscarriage, premature birth, or death of the baby.
Adderall
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include heart attack, high blood pressure and other cardiovascular complications that may result in sudden death.
Antifungals (Sporanox and Lamisil)
Serious side-effects reportedly include congestive heart failure, liver damage and death.
Aranesp
Anemia medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include cancer, stroke, heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure and death.
Ativan
Anti-anxiety medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include severe respiratory failure, depression, personality changes, hallucinations, psychosis, phobias, amnesia, and death.
Avandia
Diabetes medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include heart disease, heart attack, liver toxicity, low blood pressure, and death.
Bextra
Pain medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include heart attack, stroke, Stevens-Johnson syndrome as well as toxic epidermal necrolysis. Severe allergic reactions (including anaphylactic shock) have also been associated with Bextra use.
Celebrex
Pain medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include gastrointestinal hemorrhages, cardiovascular problems, kidney and liver damages, ulcers, and death.
Ephedra
Diet supplement. Serious side-effects reportedly include chest pain, myocardial infarction, hepatitis, stroke, seizures, psychosis, and death.
Epogen
Anemia medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include including heart attack, stroke, and death.
Gadolinium
X-ray contrast agent. Serious side-effects reportedly include an extremely rare disease known as nephrogenic systemic fibrosis (NSF) in patients who have existing kidney problems. NSF is a serious disease characterized by the hardening of various organs. The condition typically affects the skin and may cause severe debilitation. However, in cases where internal organs are affected, the condition may result in death.
Lamictal
Epilepsy medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include potentially life-threatening rash, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis. Lamictal is not indicated for use in patients below the age of 16 years. Lamictal pediatric patients have a higher risk of developing a potentially life-threatening rash.
Lariam
Anti-malarial medication. Used by military personnel, Peace Corps volunteers, and international travelers. Serious side-effects reportedly include suicide.
Pregabalin
Pain, shingles and epilepsy medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include birth defects.
Mellaril
Schizophrenia medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include heart arrhythmia and death. Due to the high risk of serious, potentially life-threatening conditions Mellaril is not used until other methods have failed.
Meridia
Diet medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include cardiovascular problems and death.
Natrecor
Heart medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include kidney problems and death.
Ortho Evra
Birth control medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include blood clots, heart attack, stroke and death.
Paxil
Anti-depression medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include suicide and birth defects.
Permax (pergolide)
Parkinson's disease and Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include heart valve damage. In March 2007, drug manufacturer Eli Lilly pulled Permax off the market
Plavix
Blood anti-clotting medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include major, potentially life-threatening, gastrointestinal bleeding in patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease.
Prempro
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) drug prescribed to treat menopause symptoms. Serious side-effects reportedly include stroke and breast cancer. Prempro was withdrawn from the market in 2002.
Procrit
Anemia medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include heart complications, hearth attack, blood clots and death.
Protopic
Eczema medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include cancer (lymphoma and skin cancer).
Ramipril
Blood pressure medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include liver problems, kidney problems, and cardiovascular events.
Raxar
Infection medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include arrhythmia and death.
Risperdal
Schizophrenia medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include stroke and death.
Ritalin
ADHD medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure, liver damage, psychosis, and sudden death.
Serentil
Schizophrenia medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include heart arrhythmia and death.
Serzone
Anti-depression medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include liver failure and death. When used by children, Serzone is believed to cause an increase in suicide risk.
Symlin
Blood sugar medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include hypoglycemia, or dangerously low blood glucose levels. Hypoglycemia can cause a person to pass out or suffer other adverse effects. ts.
Tasmar
Parkinson medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include liver damage.
Tequin (gatifloxacin)
Antibiotic medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and hyperglycemia (high blood sugar), conditions especially dangerous to those with diabetes, heart attack, and stroke.
Trasylol
A drug used to decrease blood loss during heart surgery. Serious side-effects reportedly include kidney failure, heart attack, stroke, and death.
Viagra
Erectile dysfunction medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include large and sudden drops in blood pressure, heart attacks, hypertension, and death.
Zelnorm
Constipation and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include heart attack, stroke and death. In 2007, Novartis AG halted all sales and distribution of Zelnorm.
Zyprexa
Schizophrenia medication. Serious side-effects reportedly include diabetes.
